If you want to find us as a matter of concious choice and, working on the assumption that you have made your way to East Dorset, Whitemill can be found about a mile to the east of Sturminster Marshall on an unclassified road linking the A350 to the B3082.
Whitemill is not easily reached by public transport, most of our visitors arrive by car though a few hardy souls do come by bike (in one case all the way from Cornwall).
Arriving by Car
From the north, make your way down the A350 to Sturminster Marshall and turn left at the garage (signposted Shapwick).
From the east or west you'll probably be coming along the A31, so turn north up the A350 and turn right at the garage (signposted Shapwick).
Now follow the road through the village and then for about a mile out the other side. As you crest the bridge over the river you can see the mill on your left.
Please be very careful on the bridge as it is a blind summit.
Alternatively, if you're coming from the Wimborne direction (perhaps after visiting Kingston Lacy House) make your way onto the B3082 Wimborne to Blandford road and turn left when you see signposts for Sturminster Marshall. Follow that road all the way down to the end, turn left and then left again to get to the car park.
The car park is about 100m north of the mill.
Disabled parking for one car is available right at the mill.
For those of you who know what an Ordnance Survey grid reference is, and how to use it, we can be found at ST958006
Public Transport
The following details are taken from the National Trust Handbook:

In either case, alight at Sturminster Marshall from where you face a one & half miles walk.
